An escalator in the streets

Hello Mika!

In Hong Kong the streets are very steep.  Here is a picture of a very steep street. See how steep it is?

Because people got tired from walking up those steep streets all the time, they built an escalator. That was very smart of them!  The escalator looks almost like an escalator in a big shopping mall, but this escalator is in the street.

And it keeps going and going up the hill.

And then it keeps going up the hill even further.

... and further

Today I went up a very very tall hill and my legs don't hurt from climbing because I took the escalators.

Good Stuff!

A fire boat in Hong Kong Harbour

Hi Mika!

This happened a few days ago, but I thought you would like the pictures. I saw a fire boat in the harbour and the firemen on the ship performed an exercise.

The fire boat shoots water in the direction of a small boat with firemen in it

Now the small boat shoots water back at the big ship!

More pictures later!

Greetings from Uncle Chris in Hong Kong!

Unce Chris' trip to Shenzhen in China

Hello Mika,

today I took a train from Hong Kong to China and then back to my hotel in Hong Kong again. Before today I never had been in China before and it was very interesting.
Here are 2 pictures of me in front of a big painting of a Chinese politician and in front of a very high bridge.

Many people from Hong Kong come here to go shopping and I did some shopping too. I bought a remote-controlled Lego locomotive.
What do you think I should do with that? I have an idea already but wanted to check with you whether you have a better idea ;-)

More tomorrow!
